Gathering Gratitude: Lessons from the Writing Journey
November always brings me back to gratitude … for the stories that find me, the people who read them and the lessons tucked between every new chapter of this writing life.
Lately, I’ve been deep in the formatting phase of my book, which has been its own little adventure. (And by “adventure” I mean a steep learning curve full of trial, error and plenty of coffee.) But I’m thankful for it truly. Every step, even the messy ones, is part of the creative process.
What I’ve realized is that writing isn’t just about words on a page — it’s about gathering:
- Gathering courage to start.
- Gathering lessons when things don’t go as planned.
- Gathering the people who cheer you on, even when you’re knee-deep in page margins and layout guides.
So this month, I’m taking time to pause and give thanks for the growth, the guidance and the gratitude that keeps me writing.
How about you? What are you gathering this season — stories, memories, lessons, or perhaps a little patience like me?
